Dr Neelam Gupta is the Founder President and CEO of AROH Foundation. After doing a doctorate in Agricultural Sciences, she ventured into printing and publishing business and established herself as a successful entrepreneur. She started AROH Foundation to realize her childhood dream of giving back to the society. Set up and registered in 2001, AROH was initially focusing on research and strategy planning support to programmes run by the Government of India. Realizing the great need of developmental work at the grassroots level, she took up interventions which provided direct benefits to people. At present AROH is working on multi-sectoral development initiatives in CSR domain and government schemes.

She has been the spirited leader of AROH and has inculcated commitment and sincerity towards work as hallmarks of the organization and integrated the use of technology to bring transparency through information sharing. Sound policies which ensure the path to success have been made by her which have translated into the success and goodwill that AROH enjoys at present.

Her undying zeal to help the downtrodden of the society has perched the Foundation as a leading national level NGO in the social development sector. Under her able leadership, the Foundation has grown by leaps and bounds touching more than two lakh poor and needy persons across 18 states of India.

For her extraordinary contribution towards the social causes she has been conferred with numerous awards like ‘Shining image of India Award Gold Medal by AIESAC (All India Economy Survey Award Council) for excellent achievements, Indira Gandhi Seva Ratna Puraskar for achievements in social sector, Udyog Ratan Award by IES (Institute of Economic Studies) for individual contribution in social sector, Asia Pacific International Award by GAF, CSR Professional of the Year 2018 by CSR Times.
